Our sign up has begun. Many of us are arriving one day early to acclimate from the high altitude of Cusco. Here is the proposed schedule:
There are many trails to blaze in Peru from Salkantay to this one without getting into lottery for Inka Trail.
- Day 1 – Lima – Cusco. Acclimate and visit The Cathedral, Koricanha, Temple of the Sun, Tambomachay, Temple of the Water, Qengo and Sacsayhuaman, 11,152 ft.
- Day 2 – Pisac Market & Ruins, Andean Town of Ollantaytambo, town of Chinchero.
- Day 3 – Choquequirao hike begins at 10,050 ft. Cusco, Capuliyon, Chiquisca
- Day 4 – Chiquisca, Marampata, Choquequirao, 9,350 ft.
- Day 5 – Choquequirao – Chiquisca
- Day 6 – Playa Rosalina – Chiquisca, Ollantaytambo, Aquas Calientes
- Day 7 – Machu Picchu – Aquas Calientes
- Day 8 – Free day in Cusco or more tours
- Day 9 – Rainbow Mountain
- Day 10 – Cusco – Lima
